Well, I think that I "fixed" the blog so that anyone can make a comment, should they care to. Tory asked for more pictures, so hope these aren't too many for others. Am looking for a way to include a map of our travels.
We were pleasantly surprised this morning when Caryl's son, Christopher, drove in from an hour away to see us before we left Arkansas. Christopher is assistant manager at a Brookshire grocery store in Homer and has been married for a little over a year.

Christopher, Aunt Sue and Caryl
On this vacation, we are getting to see a lot of friends and family that we haven't seen for a while ... some for many, many years ! We are looking at the scenery too, of course, as we are not just taking the interstates. But, not taking much time out for sightseeing ... until we get to D.C.

We drove to Nashville, where we are spending the night at a Best Western
on Music Row. We went to dinner at a nearby Irish Pub, where they had
live music. Local musicians would get on stage and perform 3 songs,
then get off the stage so that the next musician could perform. It was fun! Reminded us that there are a lot of good musicians in our
world who are looking for their big break.

Bridge over Mississippi River

Oh My Suzan, your making me yern for 'home' again. I was raised in Missouri, just 11 miles from the Mississippi River. 90 miles North of St. Louis. But the same kind of beautiful green scenery you have been traveling through in Arkansas and TN. We are in this country every year and looking forward to being back there again after August of this year. Those 2 lane highways are the way to travel if you have time, the Interstates, so much of the time cover the scenery up with tall trees on either side of the interstates. So happy you got to see your sister and families. Family is so important. I love reading about your trip. I hope there are still lots of Spring flowers blooming.
