Staying with wonderful friends in Albuquerque.  Kate is a nurse, originally from England, married to Steve, who was in the Air Force.  We worked together at Moreno Valley Community Hospital many years ago, before Steve was transferred to Albuquerque ... where he retired.  Kate is now House Supervisor at Presbyterian Healthcare and Steve works for the Dept of Fish and Wildlife.  We have stayed close and see them at least once a year.  They will be coming out to California in July for a visit.

We explored part of the Petroglyph National Park yesterday, taking a hike up over some strenuous terrain.  Beautiful views of petroglyphs (or graffiti !) and the whole valley below.  The kids, Shea and Sean, are junior rangers now.  The sky was nice and blue when we started out, but the wind quickly blew in the ominous clouds.  It was fun to see how quickly it could change out here.
