Craig's brother took us to see his older son, Braxton, who was in a motorcycle accident 2 years ago.  He is 23 years old now.  He was riding his "crotch rocket" at night and was found by the police on the freeway, while they were chasing a couple of street racers.  They think that the street racers caused the accident, but they just took off.  Braxton has had extensive brain damage.  As of a month ago, he is home with his mom and has a caregiver when his mom is working.  So sad !  He had graduated from a 2-year college and was accepted into a CAD program at the University. 
Then we all went to Galveston for the day.  Craig and I walked out on a jetty and the sea was pretty rough.  This was the Gulf of Mexico, of course. The water wasn't the pretty blue we are used to off of California; this looked like the sand was churned up in the water?

Then we spent some time on the Strand, doing the touristy-thing, before going to dinner at a nice seafood restaurant.  Got some pictures of the "Old City" cemetery in Galveston for Cathy.

Then we headed home to Rick's house .... don't know how having fun can make you so tired !!!
