Saturday, April 14, 2012 ... Sadly, we left Houston to head to El Dorado, Arkansas. Rick showed us the short cut to get out of town and the drive was quite pretty. I regret to say that I did not take any pictures along the way. When we got to the outskirts of Shreveport, I called Caryl, our niece. She was quite surprised to hear from us, even though I had told her we would be coming this way. She is so busy working two jobs and involved with family that she just forgot ! But, she said that is was a wonderful surpise. We checked into a LaQuinta, only $69/night, then had dinner at the Good Times Grill, where Caryl is the manager. Her daughter, Scarlet, and Granddaughter Gina, joined us for a great dinner.  I forgot to take pictures !!  Then we went to Hillsboro Manor Care Center, to see my sister Becky.  It is a very nice place with wonderful grounds.  She has a large room to herself and her cat lives with her.  She had cataract surgery on both eyes a couple of days ago and is doing quite well with that.  We will all be together on Sunday, so will take lots of pictures !
